Searching for eternity, no other takes your place,

They’re all a dim reflection and none can match your grace.

Living for the dream, that one day you will be mine,

A foolish heart that’s full of hope, it is my only crime.

Honesty it is my shield, your love can be my sword,

But without you I am weaponless, my heart a racing horde.

My emotions overrun me, despair brings out my cries,

I fear I’ve lost my purpose, somewhere in your eyes.
