I put on my make-up
And that too tight dress
Walk out the door
Wondering who I'm trying to impress
Your eyes reduce me to nothing
But there's no room to care
Cause as long as I keep this act
There is always a crowd
Full of lonely people
Just like me
That never show the truth
When it has no glamour...
If I can draw perfection
You think I'm ok
As my soul screams in silence
And you walk on by
Like nothing ever happened
But I'll smile just the same
If only you will say
That I looked pretty today
