A Land Of Giants

In the lands of mountains and redwoods

I stop to absorb the beauty
As Mother nature reminds me of how small I am,
A light snow flirts with my hair
Cool air caresses my face
And a gurgling river sings its melody for me-
Telling me of peace, beauty, happiness...
I climb a little higher and she captivates me again,
Beckoning me to stay and learn more
The greatest painters of the world cannot imitate this beauty
The greatest orchestras pale in comparison to the music I hear now-
So many colors intertwined with misplaced blankets of snow
While the sounds around me refuse to yield to loneliness
I may only feel peace amidst these giants.
I take a deep breath and climb a little higher...
